Tika's Accomplishments in Reading

Tika did not feel the desire to learn to read until quite recently.
Although she told us frequently that she wanted to be able to read, she never seemed to be able to really put any effort into learning to read... until we found Headsprout!
With Headsprout, Tika soon started making real progress, as you can see in the picture below.



Although Tika did not always like to do her reading lessons, she has no finished all 80 lessons, and is well on her way to becoming a great reader.
Not only is she learning to read, but overall she really enjoys being able to read and write.
Well, write... As a matter of fact she does not actually write, but rather types. She makes up her own stories which she types on the computer. You can read her stories in the "FunStuff" part of her Portfolio.

Tika was awarded her first "Reading Diploma" on May 8, 2006 upon succesfully completing Headsprout episode 40, and her second "Reading Dimploma" on October 25, 2006.
